Trial Period for Direct Drive EDM Sportsman
A class meeting was held prior to racing on Jan 16 and after some spirited discussion the drivers in the Sportsman division agreed to a 4 week trial period for direct drive cars. The Board of Directors is very concerned about costs and wants to make sure this new technology does not have a negative impact on this division. Therefore, the drivers voted in favor of a 4 week trial in which direct drive cars are allowed providing they carry 2 additional ounces (52 Oz. 3lb 4 oz). This decision will be reviewed the first week in Feb.
